JOB SUMMARY
To oversee all the packing house machines and their operations. General operation: loading bagging material, trouble shoot during operation; calculate amount of film and avocados required to finish order; control waste and attain maximum output/efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- § Understand machine operation.
- § Understand each machine’s size standards.
- § Understand customer bag configurations.
- § Ensure proper film is being used.
- § Ensure proper label is being used.
- § Ensure proper fruit counts and box types are being utilized.
- § Perform other duties as required.
- § Lift, push, pull and grasp up to 48 pounds while standing and kneeling.
- § Lift 25 to 48 pounds for an 8 hour shift.
- § Work in cold conditions from 38°F to 50°F.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- § Able to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.
- § Ability to maintain spatial awareness around operating forklifts with up to 2,200lbs loads.
- § Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers in a team environment.
- § Able to read markings on boxes of product.
- § Ability to accomplish and manage tasks in a timely manner without constant direct supervision.
- § Ability to report and communicate in process issues.
- § Able to work according to food facility regulations.
- § High school diploma or equivalent.
