Our Fortune 500 Company client is looking for an Employee Communications Coordinator to join their team! This role provides communication consultation to internal departments regarding the company’s day-to-day employee communications;
supports upcoming events by providing communication to a pre-defined audience for each communication; assists leadership on creation of various communications.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Assists in carrying out the strategies for communicating the company’s benefits and services to internal customers, including the company’s employees, potential employees, community-based organizations, and other various sources;
develops comprehensive understanding of audience segments, creating messages and communications appropriate for those audience segments and measuring outcomes
- Creates content with intermediate supervision and assists in the maintenance of the company’s intranet site for communication to employees, including various employee information changes, updating content, and assisting with the design, layout and format
- Provide assistance in the development, editing, and publishing of employee communications; supports reviews of corporate policies and procedures for clarity and conciseness;
helps with development of employee communications and works toward all communications being accurate and grammatically correct
- Supports projects; executives tactics and provides accurate communication to stakeholders
- Ensures full review process of all materials to include corresponding stakeholders, legal and compliance
- Performs other duties as required
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a business related field
- Five or more years of related work experience
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Writing, editing, and publishing communications for a variety of media and coordinating employee communications in a corporate environment
- Assisting with the implementation of communications
- Conducts research and analysis to prepare presentations, scripts, speeches for mid-management, newsletters, marketing collateral, and other communication documents
- Drafts corporate messages intended to disseminate corporate information internally and externally
- Works under intermediate direction with latitude for independent decision making.
- Strong working knowledge of subject matter
- Project management under intermediate supervision
- Strong influence, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate relationships, identify and seek information / research skills, meet deadlines and strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Knowledge of communication principles and practices
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft tools
