Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Human Reliability Program (HRP) Manager/Management Official with support functions for the HRP and HRP Random Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Ensures all actions performed in each of these areas meets NNSA/NFO contract requirements and are compliant with 10 CFR 712 and 10 CFR 707.
- Ensure timely and proper completion of required HRP releases/forms and maintain files on all HRP candidates and employees.
- Schedule, document and/or track HRP medical and psychological appointments for all HRP candidate and incumbents under the HRP.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of all records to ensure HRP candidates meet all eligibility requirements for HRP certification, including following-up on any derogatory information with the individual prior to submission to the applicable HRP management official for approval.
- Prepare reports for the HRP Manager/Management Official as required.
- Assist HRP Manager/Management Official in the review of the HRP program Implementation Plan and company policies and procedures.
- Assist HRP Manager/Management Official in the review and approval of billing documents relative to all HRP requirements funded under the HRP budget.
- Assume HRP Manager/Management Official administrative duties in the absence of the Manager/Management Official, except for those requiring Management Official authority.
- Assist with other assignments as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the position or equivalent training and experience plus two years of related progressive experience.
- Able to apply knowledge of principles, concepts and theory related to the position to address issues and to define and resolve problems.
- Able to apply knowledge and experience to resolve problems and accomplish goals where established procedures may not be specific.
- Able to exercise discretion and sound judgment in performing work and contribute recommendations for improving operations/processes.
- Must be highly organized and able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, accomplish work, and meet required deadlines.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all types of people in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while maintaining extremely sensitive and confidential issues.
- Able to remember extensive policies, procedures, terminology, schedules, personnel, and other details.
- Able to use software applications needed in the position, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, etc. and general office equipment.
- Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
Active Q security clearance strongly preferred.
The primary work location will be at the Losee Road Facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
Work schedule for this position will be either 4/10s, 9/80, or 5/8s.
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Annual salary range for this position is: $60,777.60 - $91,166.40.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
