Overview

Animal Care Clinic Call Center has an opportunity for a Call Center Agent to join our team! 

 

Location: 260 Stonegate Rd, Algonquin, IL, 60102

 

Shift Details: Full time (30 hours a week) We are open Monday - Friday 7am - 6:30pm, Saturday 8am - 2pm, and closed on Sundays. Rotaional Saturdays required.

Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, the Call Center Agent is the first point of contact to our customers. This person will be helpful and courteous over the phone. Every aspect of this role involves customer service. By educating our clients, we can give them the opportunity to provide optimum care for the life of their pet. Serving the clients beyond their expectations with our animal care, customer service, and hospital cleanliness will enable us to forge bonds with our clients and their pets. It is important that this person understands the importance of maintaining compassion, sympathy, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

How you'll make an impact: 

 

  • Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP. 
  • Act as first point of contact to our customers and answer calls by the second ring. 
  • Provide courteous, professional, and helpful guidance over the phone and transfer calls when appropriate to staff members or to voicemail. 
  • Schedule appointments for exams. 
  • Schedule surgical and boarding reservations. 
  • Handle appointment reschedules. 
  • Maintain appropriate record keeping. 
  • Answer questions clients may have about their pet. 
  • Answer new client information into the computer system. 

 

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

 

  • Position Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Strong communication & interpersonal skills are required
    • Ability to follow directions without direct supervision.
    • Comfortable in asking questions as needed and adapt to different needs and style of staff members.
    • Able to work proficiently with computers and other office equipment, spell, alphabetize and perform basic mathematics.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and procedures.
    • Able to multitask between clerical work, required tasks and team requests with speed and accuracy.
