The Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiter will connect youth who wait for permanent homes with families who wish to adopt by implementing and coordinating effective recruitment, matching and support services for a caseload of 12-15 youth in active recruitment status. The recruiter will use the evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model to identify legally permanent resources for waiting youth who are over the age of nine, have special needs and/or are part of a sibling group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage a fulltime caseload of 15-20 youth in the WV foster care system and actively seeking legal permanency for these youth.

· Implement the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Child-Focused Recruitment Model.

· Visit each youth on the caseload monthly, as well as attending case staffing’s, permanency team meetings, and other meetings as related to the youth’s permanency plans.

· Engage in a diligent search by using the research of the case record to identify individuals who have been significant in this child’s life and locate and contact each individual in an effort to identify a family or individual who may be a possible permanent resource for this child.

· Travel extensively throughout the state to build and maintain effective relationships with waiting youth and staff.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree in social work preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in child welfare, experience working with adolescents preferred. Extensive professional experience in direct service and/or life experience may be considered in lieu of social work certification requirement

Home-based position with regular statewide travel and periodic reporting to Hurricane office. Any telework arrangements will follow company policy. Some national and overnight travel. Must hold a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
