Commercial Underwriter
Job Posting for Commercial Underwriter at Mississippi Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company
Essential Functions
- Determine the degree of risk on commercial policies.
- Review loss history of policyholders.
- Evaluate, accept, modify, reject, cancel and/or non-renew applications or existing policies.
- Initiate inspections and field audits.
- Provide underwriting assistance to agency force.
- Handle all duties associated with treaty exception requests.
Additional Responsibilities
- Act as the Flood Coordinator.
- Attend various meetings and participates in special projects.
- Develop and maintain Commercial procedure Manual.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Experience
Required- 2 to 4 years of underwriting experience is required. Or 5 years minimum Equivalent combination of education and underwriting experience required.
Education
Required- Bachelors or better
