The Substitute Early Childhood Teacher oversees and instructs students in a classroom setting during a specific time set by the director. This position utilizes innovative and effective teaching methods to enhance the knowledge and skills of students in the class.
Essential Duties
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Follows lesson plans provided for classroom teaching activities.
Sustains a classroom environment that is nurturing to the total development of a child.
Conducts daily attendance checks.
Reports developmental milestones for children assigned to their classroom.
Educates the children enrolled in the center in the areas of cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development.
Implements the food program; by assisting with records keeping, preparation and/or serving of meals and snacks.
Follows licensing, sanitation, and fire regulations assigned by the state of Missouri.
Performs Other Related Duties As Required.
Education, Experience, and Licenses
Minimum one year experience required for this position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
