The Youth Development Center North Preschool Teacher provides care and early childhood education for 3-4 year olds in a childcare & preschool center environment. This job is located at our off-site center at 1701 East Century Avenue in Bismarck.

• Be a role model.
• Develop and implement classroom curriculum and weekly lesson plans appropriate to age group.
• Supervise the children, classroom, and Teaching Assistants assigned to the classroom.
• Conduct parent conferences, and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with parents.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized classroom and equipment.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to unexpected situations and emergencies.
• Attend and be an active participant at staff meetings.

Full Time, Monday-Friday, 6:25 am-2:25 pm

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Requires a minimum of a CDA Certification, a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or a related field. CDA training and financial assistance program available.  CPR and First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training within 90 days of hire date required. Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities required. Previous experience working in an early childhood or educational setting preferred. Must have the ability to handle competing demands. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with parents regarding the child's activities, behavior, eating, etc.

The Youth Development Center North is our off-site childcare & preschool center located at 1701 East Century Avenue in Bismarck.
