Graphic Designer/Content Creator

Missy Burns Creative, LLC, a boutique marketing agency that provides branding, strategy and marketing management services to small businesses, is looking for someone who is edgy, creative, and ambitious to join their company as a contracted graphic designer/content creator. This position will work directly with the CEO to assist with designing, writing, and scheduling social media content and other graphic design projects for multiple client accounts. This position will be a significant part of scaling a thriving woman owned business dedicated to educating, empowering, and growing American small businesses all over the country. The ideal candidate is very familiar with the Wyoming culture, enjoys Wyoming’s recreational activities, and will work directly with the CEO to strategize, organize and plan content for clients. Duties will include routinely producing branded social media graphics and engaging copy, scheduling social media content in advance for multiple brands, and assisting in designing a variety of graphic design projects. You must love exploring the outdoors, learning new things, and achieving goals. Those who love going off-roading/Jeeping and are excited about growing small businesses will be our top candidates.

This is a contracted/1099 position that allows at least 8 hours a week of strict social media content creation & scheduling, 2-3 hours for assisting with graphic design projects as needed, and 30 minute check-in video calls once a week via Google Meets. Occasionally, in-person meetings are desired to either brainstorm and assist the CEO or assist the CEO at client appointments. Therefore, the preferred contractor must be located in the Bighorn Basin of Wyoming and able to commute to the Cody/Meeteetse area. An understanding of NW Wyoming’s recreational sports, trails, and laws, the “Tread Lightly” and “Leave No Trace” policies, and knowledge of the Rodeo is preferred. An NDA will be required before starting the position. Opportunities for more hours and to grow into a full-time employee position will be available as the company continues to grow.

Scope of Work:

• Assisting, coordinating and/or performing all the tasks related to designing digital and printed graphics (social media graphics, brochures, website media, banners, etc).
• Assisting with writing engaging and storytelling copy primarily for social media and branded content that follows the brand’s voice and messaging based on a branding guide.
• Perform the administrative and organizational tasks related to scheduling social media content for multiple social accounts by following a social media content calendar.
• Assist CEO with special projects, client meetings/events as needed, as well as brainstorming and strategizing new growth ideas for the company and clients.

The desired skill sets and experience of the ideal candidates include:

• 3 years working experience in Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
• 3 years experience working in Canva Pro, Capcut, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Or Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• 2 years working experience in Social Media Management tools such as Metricool, Hootsuite, Hubspot, etc.
• 3 years of understanding and familiarity of the Bighorn Basin/Wyoming culture.
• Current knowledge of marketing trends and strategies.
• 2 years working experience in project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, Trello, etc.
• 2 years working experience in Google Drive or other cloud storage software.
• Displays proficient technological savviness.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Understands how to read and follow a content calendar, buyer persona, and branding guide.
• Demonstrated proficiency in photography and/or videography.

Compensation: This is a contract position with up to 12 hours a week initially. If chosen, you would be asked to provide a scope of services with a monthly retainer estimate of up to $1,000/month.

Reimbursement for travel will be offered.

Availability: The candidate must be available to communicate between 8am-3pm MT Monday-Thursday. Some weekend availability is desired as needed.
