POSITION SUMMARY
Misumi USA is looking for an organized and energetic go-getter to fill our Project Manager role. This position is within our IT organization and serves as the liaison between the business and the IT development staff. If you have experience as a Project Manager or a Business Analyst, this position could be a good fit. You are the advocate for one or more divisions of our company and must be able to guide each IT request from inception to completion, working within timeline and budget restrictions. With your excellent communication and documentation skills, you establish trust with the business and set up IT to produce successful and beneficial projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and conduct regularly scheduled meetings with executive business leader(s) to identify and discuss new business challenges and issues; IT project statuses for all active and scheduled projects
- Manage the portfolio of IT projects defined by each business executive
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings for active projects
- Define business requirements and create complete and executable documentation of those requirements
- Coordinate with application development teams to design and deliver software solutions
- Develop an IT strategy that advances the business leader’s strategy
- Develop a “release roadmap” for future enhancements and the communication of the roadmap to the business
- Possible interface with headquarters in Tokyo for systems-related needs.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams, projects or programs
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Prior indirect resource management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- [Desired]*
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project and/or Program Manager
- PMP certification
- Experience in IT and Business/Operational/Support departments
- Project Management software skills (MS Project, JIRA, Planview, Wrike, Zoho, etc.)
- Ability to communicate in Japanese a plus
- Experience in eCommerce, Marketing, and/or Data Management a plus
