The Artificial Intelligence Technology and Systems Grouphas applied its deep technical expertise in artificial intelligence to National Security problems in multimedia and cyber processing, extraction, and analytics. The group's work spans a variety of artificial intelligence fields such as natural language processing, speech processing, signal processing, computer vision, and graph processing. In each of the group's R&D areas, the group focuses on discovery, development, evaluation, and delivery of robust artificial intelligence technologies. On a global scale, the AITS Group leads research in several multimedia analytics domains, with a long-standing and extensive publication record, history of international honors for staff, and recognition at the highest levels of government.

Job Description

The Artificial Intelligence Technology and Systems Group is seeking a candidate with experience in the areas of computer vision and multimedia to work with our team on research, technology development and transfer, and applications in end-to-end artificial-intelligence systems. Some of the group's computer vision research and development (R&D) efforts include face recognition, object detection, image generation and manipulation, content authentication, model visualization, adversarial learning, and video understanding.

  • Conduct research and development in artificial intelligence/machine learning with application to multimedia
  • Develop and evaluate technology for content extraction in image and video data
  • Prior experience with deep learning architectures and related libraries (PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.) is highly desired
  • Support the deployment of multimedia processing systems across the US Government
  • Interact with government sponsors in support of developing new areas of research and fulfillment of future needs
  • This is an individual contributor (IC) role

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • Programming expertise in Python, or equivalent prototyping language
  • Active secret clearance or ability to obtain a secret clearance
