• Design, develop, evaluate, & support automated industrial machinery products with focus on New Product Development (NPD) in the Component Manufacturing (CM) and off-site construction industry

• Lead team members through the planning, development, and deployment of complex electrical architectures with a high level of integrated automation

• Generate electrical project execution artifacts of small to large scale deployments (i.e.cost estimates, schedules, resource needs, risks, forecasts, status, etc.)

• Lead electrical team members through staged-gating process (i.e.requirements reviews, design reviews, test readiness reviews, verification reviews, etc.)

• Lead team members through troubleshooting & root cause/corrective actions

• Design/integrate/test electrical parts and assemblies using industry best practices

• Design/integrate/test industrial PLCs and electrical control systems

• Design/integrate/test industrial electro-mechanical & robotic systems

• Work with software developers to generate system logic and controls (SW development experience will be a significant advantage)

• Develop/maintain project documentation (i.e. system requirements, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, test plans, project notes, etc.)

• Ensure compliance with MiTek engineering procedures, guidelines, industry standards, and governmental regulations applicable to industrial machinery

• Perform engineering analysis/calculations where applicable

• Enter new/update existing data in MRP/ERP system

• Support Manufacturing, Marketing & Sales, Purchasing, Installation, and Customer Service Organizations throughout a product's lifecycle

• Review/stay current with industry trends & emerging technologies

• Mentor less experienced electrical engineers & designers

• Manage individual tasking while leading other electrical/robotic engineers through project execution with minimal oversight

• Some travel required (up to 25% during critical on-site activities)

• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university

• 8 years of electrical engineering design experience

• Proficiency with power distribution, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks

• Proficiency with PLCs, motor controllers, VFDs, servos, and sensors

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical

• Proficiency in electrical symbols with experience in circuit analysis

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Experience in the utilization of vision systems & robotics

• Experience with LabVIEW and/or other software development environments desired

• Ability to rapidly diagnose and troubleshoot automated systems

• Ability to work individually and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and deadlines

• Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills

• Strong communication skills to interact frequently with stakeholders
