Summary The Data & Analytics team at MiTek is newly formed and growing. Our charter is to create a Modern Data Strategy and Architecture that allows our business stakeholders to utilize the vast amount of data in the MiTek ecosystem to drive decisions. The Data Product Owner will be responsible for working directly with business stakeholders to deliver data products that continuously add value to the organization. This individual will be an expert in the MiTek data ecosystem and have the ability uncover valuable insights using both deep technical and business knowledge. Job Responsibilities & Requirements Responsibilities: Act as the authoritative source and Subject Matter expert of the MiTek data ecosystem Actively contribute to the development, implementation, and evolution of the Data Governance program Train and educate business stakeholders to enhance their data knowledge and competencies to make them self-sufficient in owning and managing their data Develop a strategy and implement a Self-Service data consumption competency using the Azure data stack Collaborate with the Data Governance program to build a network of Data Stewards tied to business functionality Partner with business stakeholders to gather/translate requirements for prioritized data product initiatives Align key data product decisions/considerations with overall company data strategy Partner with Data and Analytics leadership to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team Ensure the creation and maintenance of data product documentation for ease of comprehension and usage by business stakeholders Align non-functional requirements (security, performance, etc) to the functional requirements to ensure end to end best practices are delivered in each data product Build a product backlog, prioritize its items to achieve KPI’s and continuously keep it up to date and aligned with Data Governance prioritization Work with Data Stewards, as a part of the Data Governance program, to ensure required Data quality controls are identified and implemented Required Qualifications: 7 years of work experience in delivering data products 5 years of Data Governance experience 3 years of experience working with Azure data analytics technologies Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodologies Experience in a global environment Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team of analysts Ability to work directly with IT Data and Analytics team and other departments to query correct data sources and validate outputs Strong collaboration skills - you partner well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources Excellent oral and written communication skills Working with key stakeholders to drive business results Preferred Qualifications Experience with manufacturing concepts Azure data tools (Synapse, Databricks, Azure Machine Learning) MiTek is an E-Verify and Drug and Tobacco-Free Workplace.
