Manager, Logistics
Position Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for supporting the Logisnext America’s production and aftermarket operations at our Marengo campus along with drop shipment activities for shipments originating in other global manufacturing operations, coordinating with suppliers and third-party logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of product, ensuring compliance within Foreign Trade Zone, CBP, and other related governmental regulations, managing the team responsible for analyzing trends across both domestic and global transportation methods, and working to minimize logistics costs and risks throughout the global shipment network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies and implements initiatives to reduce costs for all modes of transportation encompassing all inbound and outbound networks.
- Ensures compliance with CBP regulations and supports the Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas trade compliance team by auditing and validating the accuracy of various import and export documents such as certificates of origin, ISF filings, Dangerous Goods documentations, and export and import commercial invoices.
- Manages the team responsible for scheduling container deliveries in coordination with applicable Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas departments.
- Works closely with logistics and customs brokerage service providers and overseas the on-site 3PL team responsible for domestic inbound and outbound shipping operations.
- Performs analysis of transportation spend and validation of supplier billing along with periodic reporting responsibilities to monitor performance of stated Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas goals.
- Works cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Material Control, and Inside Sales Support to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Logistics or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in both domestic and international logistics management.
- Previous experience working in heavy industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
- ASCM certifications or work toward certification.
Work Environment
- Business Casual Office.
- Manufacturing Facility requiring Safety Equipment.
- Customer and Supplier Sites.
- Supports a manufacturing plant that typically operates from 6:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Travel requirements will vary (approximately 10% of the time)
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; AS/400; Materials Requirements Planning programs such as Microsoft Dynamics AX
