MiVillage preschool program is a play-based, nature-based program. Our teaching team is a group of positive, friendly and kind teachers. Before/After School teachers are responsible for the children in their care. At MiVillage mission is to create a stimulating educational environment where children can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. We believe learning is interwoven through all developmental domains. These include: physical, social, emotional, cognitive and communication. Our goal is to make this ongoing learning experience safe, positive, and fun, while nurturing the child as we strive to guide them into the next stage of development with confidence in themselves and an excitement for continued learning.

Responsibilities

· Engage and educate young children

· Work closely with teaching and administrative employees to support the educational, social and emotional development of students.

· Communicate proactively with students and parents.

· Develop and maintain positive relationships

· Work collaboratively with teaching team members, the learning specialist, and administration to identify and support student learning needs.

· Model excellent problem solving and project management skills with a commitment to viewing challenges as problems that can be solved rather than obstacles that cannot be overcome.

· Support student safety through a demonstrated commitment to emergency response training and the ability to lift and transport small children as needed.

Qualifications

· Must be 18 years or older

· Outgoing, enthusiastic, comfortable speaking in public, and confident in leadership roles

· Must be patient, flexible, creative, and able to work independently and as part of a team

· Current First Aid and CPR certification & training

· Must possess a commitment to personal/professional growth and development

· Ability to pass background checks

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
