About the Role
We are looking for a skilled reporter and writer to help produce articles for The Signal, Mixpanel's blog about all things product management and analytics. Our Marketing team is committed to growing the Mixpanel brand by publishing insightful, story-driven content about the world of data-led product and software creation. The person who fills this role would play a big part in that.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to (and being edited by) the Marketing team's Content Lead, this person would turn topics and interview leads into engaging articles for our growing audience of data-hungry product managers, software engineers, growth marketers, and tech company founders. Information-gathering will be a vital part of this role, which should include plenty of calls and Q&As with industry experts (inside and outside of Mixpanel) to gather solid-gold insights to deliver to our readers.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Experience reporting and writing about software and technology for either a media company or marketing team
- A desire to learn as much as they can about product analytics, data stacks, how the various teams that make up software companies work together, etc.,
Bonus Points For
- Experience pitching, sourcing, and writing stories in the field of data-led product management
- Experience working on a marketing team
- Having worked on a product team, possessing programming knowledge, or other relevant technical experience
- Knowing a thing or two about writing for SEO
