Jewelry Consultant

Job Description

Jewelry sales consultants work directly with customers, helping to fulfill their jewelry needs and desires, by presenting, educating, and servicing our guests in a most professional manner.

They are expected to perform a number of tasks such as presenting jewelry, conducting sales, running credit cards, inspecting jewelry, assisting with jewelry repair intake and more.

These professionals must have a growing knowledge of diamonds and jewelry, able to answer potential customer questions and effectively service clientele.

Jewelry sales consultants must use their customer-service skills to effectively make sales presentations and build long-term relationships with customers.

Jewelry sales consultants must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Jewelry sales consultants may work a variety of hours depending on the needs of the business and the hours of operation for the store.

Previous jewelry experience is preferred but we will provide on the job training. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent for this position is required.

The Jewelry Sales Consultant position is commission and base salary.

Some of the main duties of a jewelry associate include, but are not limited to :

• Greet customers as they arrive at the store in a positive manner
• Listen to customers’ needs and requirements
• Engage guests in conversation to truly understand their needs
• Provide the highest level of customer service
• Show every guest a piece of jewelry
• Educate guests to help them make the best decision on their purchase
• Lead customers through the buying process by boxing, wrapping and bagging their purchases
• Processing cash and credit card transactions
• Provide education to customers about product, warranties, and guarantees
• Assist customers with jewelry service and repair needs
• Achieve or exceed monthly sales goals
• Send out thank you notes to customers and maintain clientele best practices
• Maintaining visual displays and assisting with merchandising
• Work positively and effectively with team members
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Adhere to Loss Prevention control and compliance procedures
• Perform other duties as needed
• Follow direction and guidance provided by management
• Report to work on time and ready to perform all job duties
