What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Transit Driver position at MJKnight Transportation?
We are looking for a Monitors and Driver to transport children to/from school in a comfortable, safe, and timely manner. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you DO need to have a car. Children will be transported in the comfort of your own vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up students and transport them to and from school.
- Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
- Comply with policies and procedures.
- Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
- Schedule regular car service appointments to ensure car is functional.
Skills
- 2 year experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $100.00 - $200.00 per day
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
- Weekends as needed

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Driving: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- School Bus Endorsement (Preferred)
