Spectra-Physics, Ophir, Newport and ESI are brands within the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division. We provide a full range of solutions including lasers for precision industrial and scientific research applications, laser and LED measurement, beam profiling, precision motion control, optical tables and vibration isolation systems, photonics instruments, temperature sensing, opto-mechanical components, optical elements, and systems for flexible PCB laser processing, high-speed MLCC testing, and CO2-laser-based systems HDI PCB and IC substrate manufacturing.

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to deal with :

• Improving quality control processes;
• Performs inspections and tests related to the supplied / manufactured product, in accordance with the inspection plan and / or other defined specifications, to verify its compliance with the specified requirements.
• Participates in / performs identification of non-conforming product in accordance with specified requirements.
• Participates in the implementation of corrective actions according to the assigned responsibilities;
• Records data and information regarding inspections / tests performed and communicates them to interested functions.
• Checks and transfers in electronic format the documents attesting the quality of the products.
• Performs final verification of manufactured products.
• Complies with the provisions of the documented procedures of the quality management system, related to the activities carried out.

Essential requirements to perform job functions.

• Technical secondary / higher education.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in QA / QC / Production / Process Audit.
• Knowledge of PC operation, MS Office.
• Knowledge of industrial technical drawing (reading drawings, geometric dimensions / tolerances).
• Practical knowledge of the use of measuring and monitoring devices.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Seriousness, discipline, organization, responsibility, willingness to learn.
• Ability to evaluate and make prompt decisions.

Compensation and Benefits :

Hourly Pay Range : $17.00 - 31.56 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus : This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS or as applicable .
