Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Desktop Support Specialist with broad technical skills to support our end-user computing environment. This position is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing the end-point devices and computers, including but not limited to hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and other peripheral equipment. Duties generally entail Service Desk ticket management, phone support, workstation deployment, troubleshooting and mobile device support. This position is located in north Denver, requires in-office attendance and will require occasional travel to locations outside the home office. This is not a remote support role.
Essential Job Functions:
- Primarily responsible for testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting PC hardware, mobile devices, software and associated operating systems.
- Develops, maintains, and deploys computer workstations.
- Manages user accounts, rights and permissions for systems including Active Directory and enterprise applications.
- Manages assigned Requests and Incidents utilizing the IT Service Desk ticketing software.
- Assists and leads small IT projects.
- Responsible for properly documenting all requests and completing resolution within the defined
- Responsible for maintaining low Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Responsible for Problem identification and resolution within the scope of the desktop support area.
- Complies with all policies, procedures, and checklists for IT Service Desk processes.
- Develops and maintains IT process and procedure documentation as directed by the manager.
- Assist in maintaining asset inventories for all desktop hardware/software across the organization.
- Procures hardware and software for the organization from established vendors and procedures.
- Travels occasionally, implementing and supporting technology installed at remote sites.
- Promote and model company/department mission, vision and values.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the IT Manager.
Education and/or Experience:
B.S degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or similar field of study is preferred.
Associates degree combined with demonstrated desktop support experience may be a substitute.
Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an enterprise IT service organization.
Proficient utilizing computers including Microsoft Windows Operating Systems through Windows 10,
Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, VoIP, general laptop or desktop computer and mobile device management.
Employee is encouraged to have and maintain current certification(s) in relevant technology or IT service management such as: CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), ITIL v3 or v4
Demonstrates strong communication and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of the organization.
