Essential Responsibilities:
Construction Manager / Superintendent is responsible for directing overall safety, construction and quality for construction sites.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with DOC and subcontractors to determine project needs.
- Meet performance goals and deadlines.
- Supervise subcontractors and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor and report on project progress.
- Implement safety and quality guidelines.
- Keep track of additional material usage.
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
- Primary individual to assure that dimensional controls are met including supervising lay-outs by Subcontractors.
- Ability to anticipate problems and proactively suggest solutions which are coordinated between the DOC, and design team, thereby maintaining project schedule and level of quality.
- Provide reports on the actions and events that occur daily to the DOC and management team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of construction leadership in related field.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA safety (10, 30)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong teams.
- Proficiency in the use of office software: spreadsheets, databases, word processing and presentations.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with little supervision and oversee multiple projects.
- Evidence of exceptional ability
