Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the radiology department, overseeing all aspects of its operation and administration.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of radiology services.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set forth by state and federal agencies, as well as accreditation bodies.
- Manage departmental budget, resources, and staffing to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among radiology staff, promoting innovation and excellence in patient care.
- Stay current on advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and best practices, and implement relevant updates as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in radiology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of radiology operations, including imaging modalities, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in healthcare regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
