Job Title: Physician Assistant - Functional Medicine/Osteopathic Medicine
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with a background in functional medicine or osteopathic medicine to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care to patients, with a focus on addressing the root causes of illness and optimizing health and wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing, to evaluate health status and identify underlying imbalances.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on a functional medicine or osteopathic approach, incorporating dietary and lifestyle interventions, nutritional supplementation, and stress management techniques.
- Order and interpret advanced diagnostic tests, including hormone testing, gene testing, micronutrient analysis, and weight control assessments, to guide treatment decisions.
- Prescribe and administer evidence-based therapies, including hormone replacement therapy, micronutrient supplementation, and other integrative modalities, in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Educate patients about the principles of functional medicine and osteopathic medicine, empowering them to take an active role in their health and well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, nutritionists, and mental health professionals, to provide coordinated care to patients.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in primary care, functional medicine, or osteopathic medicine.
- Strong knowledge of hormone replacement therapy, gene testing, micronutrient deficiency, and weight control assessment.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to addressing the root causes of illness.
