What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT with Meadville OBGYN Associate position at MMC #1?
Establishes preliminary diagnoses of physical abnormalities under the direction of the supervising physician as per guidelines. Recommends for further testing and examinations to appropriate cooperating services, (i.e., hospitals, clinical laboratories, radiological services, and other technical or specialized services. Provides preventative services, such as pelvic and breast exams, immunizations, addressing gynecological complaints, menopause management, family planning, pre-natal and post-natal care. Maintains and documents complete medical records and completes patient reports as required. Participates in the development of written standing orders and/or protocols to be used by the Physician Extender as appropriate. Prescription refills are completed per Collaborative Agreement with supervising physician. Daily lab and hospital reports are reviewed with supervising physician and addressed as appropriate. Acceptance of other duties and special assignments as may be designated by the Medical Director.
