Nature of Work
Lead and manage overall strategic direction of the recruiting function for MMC Corp and subsidiary companies (MW Builders, MMC Contractors, Countywide Mechanical, BCS). Focus on corporate recruiting needs, which include; identification, selection, hiring, on-boarding, orientation of employees, community outreach, and industry education.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal and external recruitment plans, strategies and initiatives to ensure the recruitment and retention of staff to support the recruiting efforts and overall business goals of each of the subsidiaries and Corp
- Manage and train recruiting team with oversight of all recruiting, including experienced hiring, college recruiting, and intern program
- Network company brand through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees, etc
- Advise managers on interviewing techniques and proper hiring methods
- Develop connections and materials to deliver industry education knowledge to relevant audiences to build long-term pipeline of talent for industry
- Develop and implement recruitment plans to attract and retain women, minorities, and veterans to company
- Manage and develop new recruiting procedures and processes to include; recruiting standards, application process, salary administration, onboarding, etc
- In coordination with Legal Department, ensure compliance with Affirmative Action requirements and EEOC requirements.
- Manage relationships with preferred suppliers of agency staffing and recruiting resources
- Stay up to date on employment and labor legislation to inform recruiters and managers regarding employment regulations
- Build strong relationships and partnerships across the company
- Keep track of recruiting metrics and effective sourcing methods
- Coordinate with management to forecast future hiring needs and goals.
- Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.
Experience
- 5 years or more of proven experience in recruiting required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making ability
- Knowledge of employment legislation
- Familiarity with social media and current methods of recruitment
- Experience managing direct reports strongly preferred
Travel Requirements
Requires some travel - heavier travel during peak college recruiting seasons (September/October and February/March).
