What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane Inspector position at MMI Industries?
A large crane manufacturer is looking for Overhead Crane Inspectors to join their maintenance team.
- As a Overhead Crane Inspector you will travel to regional customer site locations to perform inspections on overhead cranes.

The Job
- Complete the monthly inspections schedule and perform preventative maintenance on electric overhead cranes.
- Perform inspection in a timely manner without compromising on quality or safety.
- Make recommendations to the customers about inspected equipment and any observed or known safety concerns.
- Complete and provide proper checklist and required forms for each service.
- Read, understand, and apply the contents of all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI and other codes or regulations used in the crane industry.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience is preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in crane service or related and equivalent experience.
Other Requirements.
- Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver’s license.
- Must be willing and able to work off the ground.
- Must be able to work varied overtime, as required by the customer, be available for “on-call” as part of the service office rotation
- Be able to travel and work out of town, on occasion.
