Position Overview: Dock Unloaders remove product from received containers onto pallets stack in designated formations. They also maintain all cleanliness in and around the warehouse.
Essential Job Functions: Remove product by hand off containers into designated stack arrangements on pallets. Verify and record the correct quantities and items off of the container and communicate to management if there are any discrepancies compared to Vendor Stock Sheet. Then label the pallets with destination tags assigned by management and coordinate with warehouse clerks and forklift operators to move the product to specific locations for transfer or stocking.
1. Ability to understand Vendor Stock Sheets
2. Coordinates with Warehouse Managers/Clerks/Forklift Drivers to move product when necessary
3. Maintains pallet flow of stock for stocking and transfers
4. Be able to work in a small team to accomplish goal of average 2 ¼ hours for 3 men on a truck
5. Maintains all cleanliness in and around the warehouse grounds.
6. Must be able to use arithmetic skills to count stacked pallets
Requirements
1. Able to work in Warehouse Elements – high heat and cold temperatures
2. Able to lift average of 40lbs repetitively
3. High School Diploma preferred
4. Verbal and Written communication skills
5. Maintain all work areas for cleanliness
6. Follow ALL Safety Requirements
Other Skills/Abilities
7. Understanding safety standards within a warehouse
8. Knows how to use pallet jack
9.Have the ability to work overtime
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
