Description
To direct work efforts on the Maintenance shop and Production Floor at MNA-MUSe. The Lead Maintenance Supervisor organizes, coordinates, and supervises the Maintenance Supervisor and technicians to meet and improve throughput, quality and production requirements most efficiently and economically.
Requirements
Essential Duties:
· Maintains close communication with the Maintenance Manager and the production scheduling function to facilitate the efficient utilization of the plant equipment.
· Ensures that all relevant maintenance data is collected and processed promptly.
· Procures and schedules manpower by MNA-MUSe maximum manpower guidelines.
· Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance Supervisor and technicians and offer support for all preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and removal of parts from machines and equipment.
· Coordinates with the Maintenance Manager the proper training of hourly employees in the areas of safety, quality, conduct, and machine operation.
· Coordinates with Production the preventative maintenance and repair of equipment
· Coordinates Maintenance Supervisor employees to fill the daily and weekend work schedule.
· Pending supervision coverage, may need to cover different shifts as needed, in case of absenteeism.
· Supports the Company’s Policies, Procedures, and Mission Statement
· Maintains Company facilities, equipment, tools, and gages in appropriate and acceptable condition.
· Represents the Company to customers, clients, and the public as required.
· Sets an example of professionalism, fairness, and conduct.
· Perform Problem-solving techniques (RCA’s, 5Why’s, Inspection report, etc) with team members on the floor to identify downtime causes for major events.
· Performs special assignments as delegated.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to ENGINEERING/MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:
• Three (3) to Five (5) or more years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Technical degree from an Accredited Technical Institute
• Working knowledge of the automotive industry
• Knowledge of production robotics
• Knowledge of conveyor systems Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of both hand and power tools
• Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) techniques
