About Us
Mo' Bettahs will be hiring over 1,000 individuals as we open 15 more locations over the next 18 months. We offer what not very many companies can, which is career growth, development, and stability. A day in the life
A typical day in Prep at Mo' Bettahs is never dull! You will wear many different hats, but your primary responsibilities are to give our customers the best experience possible, and that starts with delicious food. You are responsible for preparing the raw food that will be cooked throughout the day and all other food needed. You will serve as a point of contact for all food ingredients to the store management. You will organize the kitchen on a daily and weekly basis. Mo' Bettahs has a fast-paced environment and requires multitasking and complete tasks promptly with attention to detail and excellent verbal communication.
Because timeliness is such a vital aspect of this job, regular and predictable attendance is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure store management is aware of kitchen needs
- Responsible for regular checks to assure product quality
- Responsible for quality control and food safety procedures, restaurant food safety guidelines
- Follow the Mo' Bettahs recipe book with exactness and precision
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning checklists
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order
- Facilitate back service line and ensure orders are done correctly
- Finalize catering orders and deliver if necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Restaurant experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear, and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and kneel. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions. May be required to work on a computer for extended periods of time, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, and manipulating a keyboard with hands, reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment. Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. Must disclose prescribed pharmaceuticals and/or OT that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job's essential functions. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
