Shift: Days, Full Time
Salary: $77,000.00 to $104,000.00. OR
$39.72/hr - $50.06/hr DOE. $25K sign-on and up to $10K relocation for qualified hire.
The Mammo Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients’ service on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s/area/department’s policies and procedures.

ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE
- Employee performs within the prescribed limits of SEARHC Ethics and Compliance Program. Is responsible for detecting, observing, and reporting compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer, or hospital hotline.

Essential Functions
- Must provide radiographic/Sonographic examination of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.
- Maintain patient records and files.
- Assume responsibility for the departmental quality assurance program.
- Pursue continuing education.
- Transfer patient to and from radiology.
- In the absence of a supervisor, assume responsibility for the department.
- Rotate shifts as required.
- Perform ancillary duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Follow policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration.
- Assist in general hygiene of department and self.
- Should be able to work well in situations of stress.
- Must be willing to able to take calls and report to work within 30 minutes.
- Must maintain competency in licensed modality.
- Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
- Competent in teleradiology transmission.
- Assist in invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.
- Competent in sterile technique.
- Competent in OR procedures and C-Arm operation.
- Alaska Fluoroscopy certified or willing to obtain within 90 days.
Mammography
- Can perform the following:
- Breast needle localization.
- Specimen radiography.
- Quality Control.
- Screening.
- Diagnostic.
- Stereotactic breast biopsy.
- Complete 5 CEU's Mammography credits per year documented per ACR/FDA requirements.
- Performs 100 mammograms per year documented per ACR/FDA requirements.
Secondary Functions
- Attends department/organizational meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.
Experience/Education/Qualification
Experience:
- Previous experience preferred
Licenses, Certifications, And/or Registration
- Current ARDMS in Mammography
- BLS Certification
EMR System: Knowledge/experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Able to perform all diagnostic exams as related to assigned modality.
- knowledge Tech I –ARDMS in 1 modality - Mammo.
- Computer Skills include EHR, RIS, PACS
