ROLE
We are actively seeking candidates for the role of Assistant Project Manager for our North Jersey location. Once under contract, our home elevator, lift and commercial accessibility projects require permitting, site preparation, including electrical and minor construction work, equipment orders, installation and inspections. The assistant project manager will help with assisting the project manager oversee the process from the point of sale through final inspection with the main objectives of maintaining a positive customer experience through communication, maintaining project timeline goals and working closely with the office staff. The assistant project manager will spend time in the office but will also be expected to conduct project kickoff meetings with customers, assisting with plans and permits, scheduling inspections, as well as periodic job-site visits. A company vehicle will be provided for work time use.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a liaison between customers, sub contractors, installers and office admin staff
- Collaborate with builders, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports when needed
- Perform site checks to ensure the site is complete and ready for installation
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Escalate customer concerns to management when necessary
- Schedule rough and final sub-code inspections when required
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Basic understanding of construction procedures
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
COMPENSATION
This is an hourly position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
