Description
The Strategy & Planning Analyst conducts mobility related market and technology research and analysis and develops strategic insights for new products in the areas of infotainment, connectivity, ADAS, Chassis, E-PT, and lighting. This position collaborates with other researchers, R&D engineering, product planning, marketing, and sales in Plymouth, Michigan as part of the Research and Development team at Mobis Technical Center America (MTCA). This position also interfaces globally with Mobis Korea and other Mobis technical centers around the globe.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Conduct product, trend, customer, experience, technology, and competitive research and analysis.
Inform and communicate technology trends to global R&D, Marketing, Product Planning, and Sales.
Develop and communicate North American voice of the customer and identify insights leading to hidden opportunities and new products.
Document, analyze, and present research data, deliver actionable recommendations that highlight market opportunities and inform new product strategies.
Develop and compile targeted research and data for local R&D teams.
Support research requests and communicate results to R&D headquarters in Korea.
Author and communicate written and verbal research reports and presentations.
Attend conferences, seminars, trade shows and meetings as required. Produce reports and analysis.
Identify and cultivate relationships and collaboration with technology partners, startups, and academic institutions in support of current and future product development.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, Business, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
5 years industry experience conducting product, technology, and user experience research and benchmarking.
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative research data, create effective presentations using text and data charts, and communicate actionable point of view to product teams.
Ability to grasp the research process, lead fieldwork, and perform desk research.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in automotive industry including automotive component and technology research.
Experience Product Planning, Product Development, and Proof of Concept (POC).
