Responsibilities:
Fully responsible to manage work plan for multiple projects and expected deliverables through daily interaction and updates to the plan
Identify the project’s needs and constraints and coordinate the generation of the Project Plan (schedule, resources, cost, quality, risk, etc). Coordinate and define scope and project targets
Schedules and conducts team meetings; communicates tasks and expectations to project team members
Identify gaps from the Project plan, lead open issues and escalate during reporting if necessary
Coordinate and support the gathering, processing and tracking of evolving customer needs and requirements throughout the life of the product as to establish a requirements baseline that serves as the basis for defining the needed work products
Ensure that internal and external change requests are managed, tracked and controlled
Ensure that all discovered problems are identified, analyzed, managed and controlled to resolution within the defined concern management system
Regular monitoring and reporting of concern status and stringent implementation of concern status in system releases
Capture critical performance requirements at pre-proposal stage to assist with proposal efforts
Facilitates risk and issue identification and management
Plans and executes APQP launch process, managing deliverables, risks, and decisions using the Phase-Gate process for all stages of each program
Develop, reconcile, and maintain project budgets and monthly spending forecasts, identify discrepancies, and lead re-planning activity as needed
Drive towards rapid identification and resolution of engineering-related performance, project and product cost, project risk, timing, manufacturing, and supply chain-related issues
Produce weekly and monthly status reports for the project team, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure project remains on track, maintains quality, and is within budget
Facilitates Change Management activities collaborating with customer and cross-functional teams
Participates in and contributes to Program Management Process and Quality Management System. Develops, utilizes, and supports project methods and acts as an ambassador of the Project Management Process and governance within the organization
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years program/project management experience with automotive programs and complex Chassis systems. Direct Chassis Brake and or Electric Power Steering experience is desirable
Bachelor Degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification, a plus
Working experience with Quality & Reliability disciplines (FMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Six-Sigma, APQP, 8D)
Ability to manage change and priorities and coordinate/realign project resources as necessary
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SharePoint, and MS Project
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
Group facilitation and negotiation skills; ability to influence and drive decisions; and identify and resolve project risks and issues
Ability to articulate project challenges to project stakeholders and Leadership in a timely manner for escalation transparency and guidance
