Moda Health is seeking an Actuarial Analyst who will provide corporate actuarial services. We are seeking a candidate who has at least 2 years of actuarial experience and has passed at least 3 examinations through the Society of Actuaries. The preferred candidate will have experience in health insurance.
Primary Functions:
1. Updates and distributes a variety of regular monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
2. Assists Accounting department in meeting federal and state regulatory reporting requirements.
3. Conducts formula reviews and other peer reviews of analysis and reports produced by teammates.
4. Performs financial forecasting and scenario modeling under direction of supervisor to evaluate and ensure company financial health.
5. Updates analysis of historical trends and assists in forecasting future trend.
6. Conducts profitability analysis and identifies potential opportunities to supervisor.
7. Forecasts and measures the impact of cost containment and healthcare intervention programs.
8. Interprets and communicates results of analyses to supervisor and other actuarial staff.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
