Moda Health is currently seeking an RFP (Request for Proposal) Specialist. The RFP Specialist supports sales and account retention initiatives by providing high-quality, on-time RFP/RFI responses. This entails interacting with individuals throughout the organization to ensure RFP/RFI responses are delivered on a timely basis, clearly articulate and demonstrate Moda’s product and service differentiators to attract and retain group customers.

Primary Functions:

  1. Manage multiple RFPs simultaneously to ensure responses are accurate, professional and are submitted by the required deadlines. Review complex solicitation documents to identify tasks/requirements and determine the most effective response approach/structure for a compliant response. Facilitate debrief meeting of the proposal process with major stakeholders. Act as a knowledgeable resource providing solicitation/proposal process related expertise.
  2. Independently complete RFIs or RFP questionnaires requested by the Sales Executives / Account Executives without supervision for groups that have 500 or fewer subscribers.
  3. Identifies opportunities to incorporate industry best practices to improve Moda’s RFP process. Provides education and training to teammates on industry best-practices.
  4. Undertake special projects as assigned with a focus on RFP process improvements and internal documentation to enhance efficiency and quality of the overall RFP team.
  5. Work collaboratively with Sales Executives/Account Executives and departments across the company to tailor responses to address prospect’s requirements and objectives.
  6. Clearly articulate and demonstrate Moda’s product and service differentiators to attract and retain group customers.
  7. Develop a project timeline to track and ensure deadlines/milestones are met.
  8. Write and edit proposal responses for content, grammar, style, formatting, adherence to proposal requirements and accuracy with internal company policies. Apply edits/changes to master proposal document and maintain version control across each successive proposal draft, up through and including final submission.
  9. Obtain or create required attachments and/or supplemental documents for RFP responses.
  10. Organize and package accurate RFP responses in compliance with client requirements. Coordinate the production, assembly, and shipping (if needed) of both electronic and hard copy responses.
  11. Lead RFP Team in managing and updating proposal database. This includes working with subject matter experts to create/add new content, adding responses from recent RFPs, and updating existing content within defined expiration timeframes.
  12. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the RFP process.
  13. Manage, coordinate, and produce various sales/departmental reports and executive dashboard reports including but not limited to, weekly sales tracking report for groups with over 200 employees, monthly underwriting committee slides, quarterly departmental executive summary, semi-annual private exchange report.
  14. Triage various reports required in the RFP process including provider disruption, repricing/discount analyses, contracted network GeoAccess reports and interpret results prior to releasing externally.
  15. Produce and coordinate Geo Access reports as required for dental line of business. This includes updating provider files on a regular and consistent basis.
  16. Track RFPs for groups with over 200 employees from initial point of generation to the end of sales cycle using proposal software, RocketDocs.
  17. Manage and maintain our member company(s) data in the Delta Dental Plan Association marketing database.
  18. Provide internal support to the Group Sales team.
  19. Maintain and enhance business skills, including understanding health care industry and participate in all relevant training opportunities to enhance and improve current skill set.
  20. Perform other related duties as assigned by management team.
