What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Analyst position at MODE Global?
SUMMARY: The position of Inside Sales is responsible for the sales revenue sustainability and supplemental sales growth of the company. The position serves as the tertiary business representative at major industry events, such as trade shows, expos, etc., but primary focus is to bring on new business without the constraints of operations and development of said business. Additional duties will include sourcing, qualifying and enrolling customer and agent leads by conducting cold calls, responding to inquiries, connecting through social media and a variety of other networking methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Business Development
• Freight opportunities will be through organic acquisition.
o Cold calls, face to face, email solicitation, etc.
o Will work closely with teams to monitor growth, implement strategies, conflict resolution, etc.
• Must Demonstrate Consistent New Customer Acquisition, to be reviewed monthly by Director of Business Development
• Work closely with the Business development team to close XL and L customers.
• Collaborate with Business Development Team to forecast future sales projections.
• Formulate sales strategies and /or ideas to keep company competitive in the industry.
• Meet monthly/annual sales goals as specified by Director of Business Development
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 plus years in a logistics sales role
• Prior operations or sales experience with one or more of these product lines; Dry Van, LTL, Heavy Haul, Drayage, Ocean, Intermodal, Air, Reefer, or Expedited.
