What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Analyst (Open to Remote) position at Modern Campus?
The QA Test Analyst helps in the planning, and execution of automated tests. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the testing standards, guidelines and testing methodology are applied as specified in the testing approach and that all testing results are easily accessible and understandable. May perform defect coordination functions, ensuring that test defects are tracked to closure and that the defect repository is kept up to date with current status.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Confirm reported software issues and assist development with concise and detailed steps for duplication of the defects found while performing manual functional, integration, and regression tests
- Ensure committed code is tested (including isolated testing of the release and exploratory testing based on knowledge of the application, clients and data) and cleared before it is released to production
- Log and verify test defects
- Update test environments with latest code
- Execute automation tests and document test results
- Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts
- Update and maintain quality testing standards and procedures
- Work with the Automation Engineer to identify gaps in automated tests and create stories
- Work as a member of an Agile SCRUM team delivering quality software in two week sprints and participating in all ceremonies

Education and Experience:
- B.S.in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline desired
- Understanding of agile QA concepts, practices, processes and tools
- Experience with testing frameworks:
- Robot framework is highly desirable, with hands-on experience writing and executing scripts
- Selenium or Python test automation tool is a plus
- Experience with tools necessary for testing an application, SQL queries, browser inspectors, command line tools for reading and searching logs, such as grp or less
- Experience with debugging tools
