MODERN Mobile Medicine is currently seeking a part-time Registered Nurse, experienced in primary care. You will be supporting Dr. Haden directly and overseeing patient communications via multiple channels, becoming the keystone of practice operations. This is a highly detail-oriented position requiring exceptional organization, logic, efficiency, and polished interpersonal skills.
Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities:
Onboarding of new patients, preparing for all consultations, including verifying medical information is complete, reconciling medications and allergies, verifying patient forms are filled out in advance, insurance provided, pharmacy selected etc.
Perform routine procedures on children and adults (vital signs, hearing and vision screens, EKG, administering injections, IVs, blood draws, point of care testing etc.) and fill in patients' charts.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Triage incoming patient communication and advise patients within the scope of practice of RN training.
Educate patients and their families on symptom/disease management, treatment plans, preventive care measures, and routine self-care, within scope of practice.
Administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, scanning, invoicing, submitting referrals, orders and attempting prior authorizations.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medical supplies, and placing and expediting orders like medications or flu shots.
Adapting, learning and troubleshooting software platforms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks accurately and on time and contributing ideas for quality improvement.
Answers phone calls, takes detailed and accurate messages and ensures messages are directed to the appropriate individual with the appropriate urgency.
Assists with calendar management for patient appointment requests or changes to upcoming appointments.
Mobile phlebotomy and IVs for both children and adults.
Prepare for house calls, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready and in working order.
Experience and Skills Required:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care setting, including pediatrics
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
Prefer candidates with working knowledge of Cerbo (current EMR) to assign/create tasks, prep new patient visits, fax referrals/orders, communicate with patients, etc.
Must excel at professional and empathetic communication via phone, e-mail, text and mail.
Must possess strong listening skills and a positive and professional attitude.
Must be able to take verbal requests/instructions and repeat them back accurately. (Following Work Clean methods).
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
