Objective
BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technicians use hardware and software technology to support preconstruction to the final completion of a project. Technicians maintain all documents to ensure that the project is completed effectively within cost, schedule, and quality parameters.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associate Degree in Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare plans, layouts, assembly drawings, and details for plumbing/mechanical building design using BIM (Building Information Modeling) content standards and procedures
- Prepare and maintain fabrication drawing packages to ensure accuracy and adhere to company standards
- Assist in modeling content for pre-construction
- Assist with the job setup of a new project
- Assist with the printing, plotting, copying, and filing of documents for record
- Assist with a wide range of other detailing tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Knowledge of Autodesk Fabrication CADMep, Navisworks Manage, and Revit are preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, both professional and interpersonal
- The ability to work both independently and within a team
- A responsible, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
- Refined time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, in addition to strong math and science skills
Work Environment Considerations
- Must be able to work in high-pressure situations facing strict deadlines
- Most hours will be in the office, but some trips to job sites and customer locations are required
- Must be familiar with job site safety requirements and be prepared to wear a hardhat, work boots, and safety glasses at potentially hazardous job site
