ModMed is hiring a driven Technical Writer to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing Knowledge Services team focused on producing high-quality and understandable documentation with the goal of improving the success of Modernizing Medicine's products and services. This is an exciting opportunity to create technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with product development staff to ensure the accuracy of product descriptions within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!
Your Role:
- Research, plan and develop technical manuals and product release notes.
- Communicate with product designers and developers to understand product details.
- Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among customers, employees and partners.
- Review, revise and edits documents prepared by others.
- Write technical documents in compliance to the company's established standards and guidelines.
- Evaluate and recommend revisions to standards and guidelines.
- Produce and distribute tutorials to help product end-users use a variety of applications.
- Provide writing, editing and design support to other team members.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, required (Preferred in English, Journalism, or Communications).
- 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with a technical subject such as software engineering is a plus.
- Ability to translate highly technical information into easily understandable information for customers.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
- Excellent software troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled at prioritization and multitasking.
