Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

1.0 INTRODUCTION
We area Design/Build Mechanical and HVAC/R contractor based out of Tampa, Florida that focuses on the needs of commercial and industrial customers.
2.0 BASIC FUNCTIONS
2.1 The basic function of the Warehouse Assistant is to assist the warehouse in any means required included but limited to inventory, delivery, staging and stocking. Also, to ensure company property, vehicles and tools for proper use, maintenance, and accounted for.
3.0 REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Preferred Education – A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
3.2 Experience –
- Experience with HVAC preferred
- Willing to learn and advance
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
3.3 Skills, Knowledge and Abilities –
- Maintenance systems: inventory control, preventive maintenance, and work order record-keeping.
3.4 Licenses and Certifications –
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and good driving record
- Forklift license preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
3.5 Physical - Body Positions - Standing for long periods. The position occasionally requires stooping, kneeling, stretching, crouching and lifting of up to 60 lbs.
3.6 Body Movements - Use of hands, arms, eyes, and voice. Must also be able to use standard telecommunications systems and move about safely in different environments.
3.7 Physical Requirements - The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of his/her job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and talk on the phone and visually inspect difficult-to-access parts of the site equipment.
4.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
4.1 The Warehouse Assistant reports to Warehouse Manager
5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Assist in the delivery and removal of equipment and tools
- Ensure that the material and tools required at a job or service site arrive in their desired quantity
- Keep vehicle/work area clean and neat both inside and outside
- Complete all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job
- Manage multiple priorities
- Promote and follow department procedures
- Assist with the maintenance of the facility and office equipment
- Recognize the importance and follow safety regulations
- Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions as given
- Ability to follow Safety Guidelines:
- Safely work with heights and in tight working conditions from extension and step ladders
- Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
- Ability to use safe lifting procedures
- Ability to use full range of body motion: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending and twisting
