Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Project Engineer for a Direct Hire role with a client in Plymouth, MI. The Project Engineer must be on-site at Plymouth, MI, and will be responsible for developing, managing and overseeing the implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software in a manufacturing environment, while also traveling when necessary to other plants.
Pay Rate: $100,000 - $120,000
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning: Developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets and resources to deliver the project on time, within budget, and according to scope. Ensure project scalable, maintainable, and reliable. Stakeholder management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Scope management: Ensure the project is clearly defined and documented and manage changes. Risk management: Identify, assess, and manage project risk and develop contingency plans. Team management: Manage and lead a team of project resources including developers, controls engineers, technicians and consultants. Quality management: Ensure that the MES software is delivered to a high standard of quality. Communication: Communicate project progress, issues and risks to stakeholders, and provide regular status updates. Documentation: Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate and up-to-date.
QUALIFICATIONS
BSME, BSEE or BSCE Solid understanding of both project management principles and the technical aspects of MES implementation. 7 years of experienced MES knowledge and related technologies such as PLC, SCADA, and data historians. Familiar with MES implementation methodologies, standards and best practices. Experience in the manufacturing industry, with a solid understanding of manufacturing process and operations. Ability to work in a fast-paces, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customer, executive management, and support staff. Good problem-solving and collaboration skills. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Ability to travel when necessary.
