A Finish Supervisor will be experienced in installing mouldings and trims on windows, doors, cabinetry, and baseboards. Daily duties for a Finish Supervisor include motivating and leading team members in the safe installation of cabinets, window casings, as well as installation and trimming of doors in modular buildings. All work is performed inside a factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow safety regulations and procedures to minimize risk of injury to self and others
- Responsible for overseeing employees in the finishing department
- Install cabinets, doors, trim and other finish assemblies using power tools and carpenter's hand tools.
- Read blueprints and other technical drawings
- May be required, after proper training, to operate forklifts and scissor lifts
- Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards before they are used in production
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of previous construction finish experience
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years in a leadership role in construction
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, peers, or subordinates
- Ability in organizing, scheduling, planning, and prioritizing work
- Experience in using a wide range of hand and power tools
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to reach, bend, crawl, stoop and lift up to 25 lbs. with no restrictions.
- Possess self-directed, motivated, and exceptional leadership qualities
- Desire to work well with and train others and participate as a team member
