Description
The purpose of the Mechanical Assembly Supervisor is to safely and oversee assembly of structural and mechanical components with the goal of producing our quality products that meets specifications. Ensure all personnel comply with training, safety, quality, and production procedures and operate efficiently to achieve production output goals.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Oversee processes to ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures and product Quality Management System requirements
· Oversee assigned production team, acting as first-line supervisor regarding personnel issues, performance reviews, time-off requests, timecard approvals, shift scheduling, policy violations, and corrective action
· Trains current employees and new hires on duties, processes, skills, and job requirements in accordance with Modula Inc. training program and Safety and Quality standards
· Reports issues to Production Manager/Senior Production Supervisor; provides advice when escalating production and employee relations issues to Production Manager/Senior Production Supervisor for decision-making
· Review production orders and schedules to ensure goals are achieved, productivity goals are met, production schedules are attained
· Anticipate, analyze, and diagnose production complications, coordinate corrective actions
· Act as back-up to team, as needed
· Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
This role is pivotal in supporting production efforts. The individual in this position must have a high degree of integrity, resourcefulness, and professionalism in working with colleagues and clients. Relationship building, customer service, and the ability to follow up in a timely manner are critical for success. The ideal candidate will have relative experience, excellent communication and time management skills, and manufacturing aptitude.
· Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
· Minimum education of a high school diploma or its equivalent; vocational (or higher) education in a related field preferred; a combination of education and experience can be considered
· Understanding of the manufacturing industry is essential
· Must have a working knowledge and be proficient in reading blueprints, measurements, and tolerances
