Position Overview:
We are seeking two qualified individuals for one position on our day shift and one position on our night shift. The CNC ID Grinding Operator will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by accurately and efficiently grinding steel parts. This position requires a strong understanding of grinding techniques, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with precision to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC ID grinders to grind tool steel parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine specifications for grinding operations.
  • Select appropriate grinding wheels, tooling, and fixtures for each job.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members; including machinists, supervisors, and quality control personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC ID Grinding Operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to produce quality work.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Capable of standing for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.

Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional Saturdays (approximately 10-13 Saturdays per year).
  • Days: 7:00 AM – 3:30/5:30 PM (8-10 hour shifts).
  • Inquire for a 6:00 AM start time.
  • Nights: 3:30 PM – 12:00 PM/2:00 AM (8 -10 hour shifts).

Compensation: $20.00-23.00/hour (depending on relevant experience).

Location: Moeller Precision Tool is conveniently located in Tennessee, just a 15-minute drive from Nashville. Enjoy local restaurants, easy access to I-24, nearby apartments, and the vibrant city of Nashville.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands and work environment are typical for a CNC ID Grinding Operator and include standing, walking, sitting, using hands for various tasks, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
