Inventory specialist

Position Summary and Purpose :

The inventory specialist provides exceptional customer service by traveling to and from our MPT Crib accounts. They support customers in maintaining their inventory room at the customer’s facility.

Additionally, the inventory specialist is responsible for retrieving and distributing inventory to both the shop floor and the shipping department within our own facility.

This hybrid role involves both customer service and direct work in the tool crib.

Key Responsibilities :

• Travel to local MPT Crib accounts to aid in Inventory maintenance and clean-up.
• Assist CRIB leader, VP of Manufacturing, quality, and production control in stock production.
• Maintain stock levels for MPT Crib customers.
• Pull stock for print & process, or standard card from customer service.
• Enter workstation data in the operating system as needed.
• Move parts to the correct operation.
• Oil and stock completed jobs as required.
• Accurately complete necessary paperwork.
• Maintain daily cleanliness of the work area.

Requirements :

• Ability to travel to MPT Crib customers approximately 2-3 days a week.
• Ability to interact positively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Strong Written and Oral Communication skills.
• High School Education or G.E.D.
• Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Highly motivated, very detailed and service oriented with a proven track record.
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work 8-10 hours a day while standing.

Schedule : 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 / 5 : 30 PM.

A normal shift consists of 8-10 hours per day, Monday thru Friday. Overtime will be required.

Pay : Generous and Competitive salary. OT after 40 hours.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

To successfully perform the essential functions of the Inventory Specialist, an employee must meet certain requirements.

These include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle objects. Occasionally, the employee may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Additionally, the ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds is necessary. Specific vision abilities, such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, are also required.
