Interior Design Project Manager - Healthcare

In this role you will be working with the Healthcare Studio Leader, and team staff in the management of client relationships, as well as project management responsibilities on a variety of project teams. You will lead the project planning and oversight of project tasks (client relationship, fees, schedules, etc.) in addition to development and production of technical drawings under general direction from the Studio Leader or Principal.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage projects by negotiating project scope, fees, job production and quality, fee management and collection, monitoring project accounts as well as establishing and executing project work plans.
• Foster and manage long-term positive client relationships and work as the client’s advocate by identifying and balancing client expectations with contractual obligations, corporate goals and client satisfaction.
• Consult and collaborate with team members to develop solutions to a variety of moderate to complex interior design, process, and procedure challenges.
• Oversee organization of drawing sets, design team and/ consultants.
• Provide proactive leadership during the conceptual and schematic phases of projects.
• Lead the project team to ensure the design, construction and implementation of projects are completed in a quality manner within the predetermined budgets.
• Ensure timely and effective management and delivery of projects.
• Execute quality control review for all project tasks.
• Work with the Studio Leader, Marketing Team and Firm Leadership to determine networking and resources to attract new clients.
• Provide direction and input to team members. Mentor associates and other staff members to create a learning and growing environment. Provide input on team member’s performance and makes recommendations on level changes based on performance, knowledge and skill set.
• Involvement in proposal development including attendance at pre-proposal meetings, project specific written materials and fee development. Responsible for leading a project pursuit presentation should the opportunity arise.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or related experience with at least seven years of progressively responsible healthcare interior architecture and design experience.
• At least five years of experience managing projects within the healthcare interior design clients with ability to design creative and effective design solutions.
• Emphasis on client service to build effective long-term relationships.
• At least three years of coaching, mentoring or supervising others preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Revit design production and coordination, and other graphic digital tools such as Sketch-up, Lumion, Bluebeam, etc.
