Job Summary
The Hemodialysis RN oversees and provides the care given to the outpatient hemodialysis patients along with supervising the direct patient care as given by LPNs and Hemodialysis PCTs. The nurse will work in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Renal Social Workers, Renal Dieticians, Nephrologists, and the patient to achieve high quality renal care. The RN will also participate in Care Plan meetings with the patient and interdisciplinary care team and complete other tasks as required.
Education Requirements
Required:
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent attendance record
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to function in a collaborative fast paced environment
- Relief Charge rotation
- Float to all dialysis clinics to assist as needed
- Work Sundays to cover the Holiday Schedules and work extra day in that pay-period if needed
Preferred:
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Dialysis experience
- CDN/CNN
Licensure/Certification Requirements
Required: Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
