Veterinary Technician

Mohegan Lake Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full or part-time Veterinary Technician to join our team in Lake Mohegan, NY.

Drs. Belvedere and Lavigne have significantly strengthened our capabilities, installing a digital x-ray, new surgical monitors, and a new ultrasound machine.  We also recently completed a complete renovation of our exam rooms, reception area, and in-house pharmacy.

As a member of the clinical team, in addition to traditional vet tech duties, you will be actively involved in:

• Client education and communication
• Detailed electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Diagnostics
• Reviewing medical records and lab work
• Calculating doses for both oral and injectable medications

What we need:

• 1-2 years of veterinary technician experience
• LVT preferred (or license eligible)
• Anesthesia, surgical and dentistry experience
• Availability on alternate Saturdays
• Exceptional communication skills (including spelling and grammar) – strong and respectful written and verbal communication skills for both clients and staff
• Adaptability – remain flexible while maintaining a positive attitude
• Highly organized with acute attention to detail
• Good time management and efficiency with ability to prioritize
• Reliability – good judgment with ability to work and learn independently, responsibly, and ethically
• Resourceful problem-solving skills with active recall
• A dedication to providing excellent service for every client and patient
• Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
