Mojave Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. Mojave Health is a new primary care clinic located in St. George. The Medical Assistant will provide support and assistance to licensed staff to provide optimum patient care. The medical assistant may also help with clerical tasks.

Responsibilities
- Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Obtain and document vital signs and in-office tests
- Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Receive phone calls and check-in patients
- Produce and distribute memos, letters, faxes and forms
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
